I believe in organic moments, timeless romance, and endless love. Not the kind that Disney advertises (though I’m all for breaking out in song and dancing in the street… I do, every single day), but the kind where the truest human emotions make it that much more worthy of being told time and time again. I live for capturing the truth in a lifetime of love and heirloom memories, like paper time capsules, with each love story being told through every photograph.
I swoon over vintage barnyard weddings, lace, lavender, and photographs taken in natural light. You can find me grooving on the dance floor at every reception, face behind camera and all. I’m a 90% digital photographer, 20% film but I’m making my way to reversing those two numbers.
I’m completely taken by the timeless look and feel of film photography, and the power it has to make you present in every moment. How it quietly slows down the process and makes each moment ring true like a resounding sound that breaks through the barriers of time. If I could, I would live in the grain of a Kodak Portra NC 400 photograph.
I want to live a life that is bigger than myself, living only in an excess of pure, unadulterated love.
If tomorrow I were to wake up to find that I had hit the jackpot, I’d still live every waking moment behind a camera — That’s how much I love what I do.
